The Orange Coat

1971 was the start of the orange coat in the Bockey family.  Here's a picture of G & G Bockey with my Uncle Tim wearing the orange coat (which was new) and my Aunt Janet is wrapped in the blanket.

It worked it's way down through all of the Bockey boys including Uncle Curt-pictured here playing with Uncle Nick in a sand (or stone) pile.

We had the above pictures from putting together a slideshow this past summer for G & G Bockey to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.  We couldn't find a picture of dad wearing the orange coat.  Or course, he was kid #4 so you know how it goes with picture taking: the further down the line you are, the less picture there are of you.  Anyways,  after finding all of these orange coat pictures and dad and his brothers reminiscing about things,  G & G Bockey passed the orange coat onto me.  I'm the second grandchild to wear it (we think) since were pretty sure Andrew wore it for awhile.

This was my first time of trying it out in the snow.  Actually, we got home after having Christmas with the Bockeys and while mom and dad cleaned the snow off of the truck, I played in the snow.

This has quickly become my favorite coat out of the two coats that I have.  Mom and Dad think I like this one more because they forced me into my other one the first time trying it on. The other one is also bigger and more bulky.

The coat still looks pretty good for being 38 or so years old.  There's also pants that go with it to match.  Mom and Dad haven't tried putting those on me...yet.
