Christmas with G & G Meyer

We celebrated Christmas with my parents and siblings and their families on December 23rd.  It was a fun filled day with good food, lots of family time, and presents!  Holly forgot her camera so I thought I'd post at least one picture her of her and a few of her kids.  Jesse got some playdoh and accessories!

Jack ripping into one of his presents.  Note his hair sticking up.  I need to get into a better habit of checking my kids before we walk out the door!

Miss Maria....hanging out on the floor with all of the wrapping paper!

Hi!  She is really into dogs right now and loved the new bubble blower dog that Jack got!

Nick and Natalie open up their "couples" gift.  We did couples gifts this year since all of us, except Nick and Natalie, have significant others.  Brandon and LeeAnn had their name: note the wrapping paper.  They also got creative and sent them on a scavenger hunt to find their actual gifts.  The box contained a clue, which led them to the next clue and so on.  It was fun to watch!

Nick reading a clue as we all ponder the next destination.

In the midst of all of this, Maria got brave and stood on a stool.  She was quite proud of herself!

Jake and Holly made Mom and Dad a Notre Dame yard sign out of horse shoes.  We all thought it was pretty cool!

Mom and Dad opening their gifts from us kids.  They both laughed and said they should open the others gift since both of them knew what they were getting from us.

After presents were opened, the kids relaxed on the new floor pillows that Mom made for each of us married kids.

They were later used to build a fort!
