Basement/Garage progress

Nov. 11th We had great weather and took advantage to spend most of the weekend digging and putting landscape block in for the 3 basement windows.

Jack taking a lunch brake.

Jeff and Matt digging more out by hand.
You can see the newly installed power meter ready for the Midwest Electric to come connect the power.
You can see the one finished window well and the one we're still putting here.

Bridget working to finish the second one.

We were fairly tired after all the physical work this weekend.

Do you need a pretzel?

The weekend of Nov. 16th we spent 3 days working on digging trenches. Using a backhoe we dug the main power trench, then one from the house to the barn for power, and trenches for drain tile and septic tank.

Grandpa and Dad working on putting the septic and drain tile in.

Dec. 3rd. Ray Wannamacher Construction brought in their equipment to finally start. We hope they can get it under roof before the weather gets to bad.

Jack standing by the "Al-joist" that will be used for the 1st and second floors.  I think the longest ones are 42' long!
