After the basement was dug and the footer was poured on Friday, October 5th we got a decent amount of rain. Sunday (the 7th) we decided to start pumping the 3 or 4 feet of water that was in our "basement".
Jeff and his brothers, Mark and Alex, hooked up a sump pump to Mark's generator to see if we could get the water out. By Monday I think we had most of the water out of the hole.
They brought the forms for the basement walls late last week and I believe they are working on the walls this afternoon. Hopefully I'll have some pictures of that this evening!
In other news, the kids have been having fun playing upstairs lately. Maria really likes being a cowgirl. I'm thinking this may be a great Halloween costume idea...we'll see. :)
