Maria covers her ears while Jeff's brother, Matt, grinds up the wheat. We spent some time at my in-laws this summer staying with Jeff's brother while my in-laws went to Alaska.
Jack had fun shelling peas one afternoon while we were there.
The kids and I made a trip up to Sandusky to visit with some of my friends. We went to a splash park in Sandusky and while Jack was smiling for the picture, he really wasn't into splashing that day...
Maria, on the other hand, was ALL about it. It was fun watching her reaction to the water.
It also happened to be Sr. Jenny's birthday that day! It was a fun afternoon hanging out and visiting! While we were having fun in the Sandusky/Milan area...
...a "derecho" (aka: bad windstorms) hit NW Ohio. This is what we found in our backyard when we got home that evening. We lost half of a tree and when it fell it took out my clothesline. There was damage ALL.over.the.place! Coming home that evening, we started noticing trees down an hour before we actually got to Delphos. We were one of the fortunate ones who had power back by midnight that night. They did turn it off a few other times for a few hours, but there were people who didn't get it back for a week or more.
This was my in-laws barn the next day. Crazy storm indeed.
