Everyday Life

Maria is just a fun 9 month old!  She's almost always smiling...except when Jack "pats" her back to hard or takes something from her...or yells at her because she's getting in his things. :)  Sibling love!  I say that but overall, they get along Great!  Jack's sad some days if she's still sleeping when he gets up.  One day he wanted to go in and wake her up because he wanted to play with her.  So precious!

Jack is still into marching bands.  Now we just get to march around the house with him and usually either direct, play his recorder, or the cymbals.  He's also into me taking pictures of him and/or Maria lately.  This day was one of them...Elmo slippers, fireman pj's, and all!

One evening last week, Maria was "pouncing" on Jack.  He was very good about the fact that she was bouncing on him and it was making both of them giggle a lot!

Jeff had some trim pieces still in the house and before he took it out, him and Jack made a race track ramp.  Jack thought it was great zooming all of his cars and trucks down it!

Maria & I went to my sister, Natalie's, piano recital last Sunday.  Maria was pretty good and actually just sat and played for the first half.  Then she decided to explore so we visited the hallway and then came back in and she crawled towards the front where my parents were sitting.  We ended up sitting with them for awhile and were probably distracting to everyone towards the end.  This is a not-so-great-shot of her sitting on the floor looking at a book.

That evening when we got home, she hung out with Jack and Dad.  She's really becoming a daddy's girl and prefers him over me at times, which is funny to me since Jack wasn't that way until he was a little older!
