It's hard to believe how fast Jack and Maria are growing. It does NOT seem like Maria should be crawling all over the place, pulling herself up, and cruising around furniture. She's even stood by herself for a second or two! C-R-A-Z-Y! She's fun and tends to put Jack in a great mood especially if we have to wake him up to go somewhere. There's been a few times when they've been napping that she's crawled out of her co-sleeper that attaches to our bed and played with the alarm clock all while Jack is still attempting to ignore her and keep napping. She's also babbling up a storm and starting to eat some baby food and table food. She's funny about food in that I think she wants to try it, but she shakes her head "No" really fast, so you have to have good aim at times. ;)
Jack has been a great big brother to Maria and most of the time doesn't mind her being around. Every once in a while Maria gets too close to his toys and then he shrieks "Get Mia (Maria), Get Mia!" It's kind of comical and Jeff and I are usually laughing as we go to get her. He's also taken to picking her up and moving her by himself. This is no easy feat since Maria is weighing around 18 or 19 pounds and he's probably only 28 or so pounds himself. We've been discouraging this and try to get there before he moves her. Here's some pictures from the last few weeks.
Maria playing with the clock while Jack's trying to ignore her and sleep.
Jack likes riding his bike over to the playground He does a pretty good job of stopping and listening to me while riding. ;)
Enjoying a beautiful day outside!
Jack told me that he could make his PB&J "all by myself"! He did a pretty decent job and didn't mind me helping to even things out after he got done.
Jack and his cousin, Olivia, at G & G Bockey's house. They have these perfect candles and holders for playing church and pretending to be altar servers.
Crawling up the stairs. Maria is quite good at it and can get all the way to the top of most stairways. She also has 4 teeth (two top and two bottom) and a 5th one coming in on the top! She's started biting shoulders and has heard the word "No" a lot lately.
Standing all by herself...or maybe leaning up slightly against Grandpa Bockey. I don't remember. Notice her headband looks more like a sweatband in this picture. :P
We explored the wetlands after the triplets' birthday party on October 2nd. The triplets, Jack, and Isaac all posed for a picture.
Jack asked to paint last week so I got out a paint set that I bought a few months ago. Thank you, back to school sales! Jack really enjoyed painting and we may have to do it more often!
This past Friday was homecoming at Fairview and the band invited alumni members to come back and play the halftime show. It was kind of fun and Jack LOVED seeing Mom march!
We stayed at G & G Meyer's house Friday night and went to Natalie's volleyball games on Saturday morning. They won!
Jack's cousins were there and they were having a great time making faces for Jeff and the camera. Here's Samantha sticking out her tongue.
Jack and Jesse showing off their big mouths!
